How do I setup MS Outlook to receive my emails?

For POP 3
Open Microsoft Outlook

Click on Tools, Accounts, Add, Mail...

  1. Enter the name you want shown as your emails to be from e.g. Joe Bloggs
  2. Click on Next
  3. Enter the email address your want your emails to be from e.g. jbloggs@yourdomain.net
  4. Click on Next
  5. Select POP3 in the Account Type box
  6. Enter the Incoming Mail (POP3) server e.g. mail.yourdomain.com
  7. Enter the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) server mail.yourdomain.com
  8. Enter your email username and password for the mailbox you are checking, e.g. postmaster@yourdomain.net and your mailbox password
  9. Click the "More Settings" button, then go to the "Outgoing Server" tab. Select "My Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication, then click ok
  10. Click on Next
  11. Click on Finish
  12. Click on Close

For IMAP

  1. Enter the name you want shown as your emails to be from e.g. Joe Bloggs
  2. Click on Next
  3. Enter the email address your want your emails to be from e.g. jbloggs@yourdomain.net
  4. Click on Next
  5. Select IMAP in the Account Type box
  6. Enter the Incoming Mail (POP3) server e.g. mail.yourdomain.com
  7. Enter the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) server mail.yourdomain.com
  8. Enter your email username and password for the mailbox you are checking, e.g. postmaster@yourdomain.net and your mailbox password
  9. Click the "More Settings" button, then go to the "Outgoing Server" tab. Select "My Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication, then click ok
  10. Click on Next
  11. Click on Finish
  12. Click on Close

You will now be able to send and receive emails from your domain name.
